Investment Counselor Jobs
An investment counselor works with an advisory team to collate expert views and advice on investments, and presents a consistent view on a regular basis to sales staff. Investment counselors prepare investment portfolio review reports for priority banking clients to ensure the delivery of professional standards in the advisory engagement process. They also assist in the analysis of competing product offerings, implementing group and country investment product strategies and implementing compliance and regulatory standards through appropriate training and disclosure standards. Investment counselors also assist in publishing investment publications for staff and clients when required. An investment counselor job entails responsibility for participating in the planning and implementation of orientation sessions for clients.
A bachelor's degree is required for an investment counselor job. Two years or more of experience in job development or career counseling is preferred for an investment counselor job. Good interpersonal relationship skills are also preferred for investment counselor jobs. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel are likewise preferred for investment counselor jobs.
