Management Counselor Jobs

A management counselor job involves ensuring the safety and security of clients and providing leadership and assistance to staff and clients in resolving crisis situations. A management counselor assists the residential counselors in providing the daily supervision of clients and provides continuous motivation to keep participants moving toward their employment goals. A management counselor authorizes the appropriate level of supportive services after securing the required documentation. A management counselor also maintains accurate case records for participants, meets all standards established for the position, and performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
A management counselor position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university — preferably in a human services field — or equivalent years of experience in employment services, human services, or human resources. A minimum of five years of relevant job experience is required. Management counselors should have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Management counselors should also be able to work as team members or independently.
