The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Therapists role is to provide psycho-social assessment, treatment planning, individual, family and group counseling, and referral to follow-up services to individuals, children and their families. The Mental Health Therapist assists in identification and coordination of appropriate outpatient referrals to connect patient with community resources and supports as well as residential placements if needed. The Mental Health Therapist plays an important role as part of the interdisciplinary team. This position will be an exempt position working primarily with Child/Adolescent patients in the inpatient psychiatry setting. Therapist will also serve as support on Adult inpatient units as needed. Must have experience working with children and families. Crisis therapy experience is recommended. Knowledge of community resources preferred.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Masters in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.

Experience:. One to three years of related experience required.

 

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: N/A

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.OUR VALUES
