As a key member of the Summer Day Camp Program team, the Group Leader is responsible for creating a safe, fun and positive atmosphere that promotes member engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Job Skills / Requirements

Possess the willingness of
with school-age children both indoors and outdoors and
Lead group activities and assist with homework
Maintains positive relationships with the members, participants and other staff
Knows, understands, and consistently applies all safety rules
Attends all trainings and staff meetings as assigned
Completes required abuse risk management training. Adheres to policies and procedures in managing high-risk activities and appropriate boundaries of supervision. Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations to supervisor. Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements to authorities.
Complete free CPR and First Aid certification within the first 30 days of hire.
Complete 12 hours of required on-going childcare education trainings required by state licensing.
Climbing, sitting, standing, pushing, walking, kneeling, and stooping
Tolerate heat and humidity for extended periods of time
Exposure to swimming pools
Ability to communicate verbally, including projecting your voice across a distance in normal & loud situations.
Lifting up to 50lbs
Part-time; Non exempt
