Job Description:
The Office of Admissions at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Admissions Counselor Expectations include, but are not limited to, recruitment and enrollment activities of both international and domestic first-year and transfer students.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Representing SUNY Oneonta in international and domestic recruitment activities, demonstrating an appreciation for diverse cultures, backgrounds and experiences; review and evaluation of transfer and international applications; serving as a Designated School Official (DSO); establishing and fostering relationships with prospective students and families, college counselors, community college advisors, international agents, and other organizations; extensive outreach efforts to develop awareness of SUNY Oneonta to target regions/audiences; weekend and evening responsibilities; large and small group presentations; coordinating engagement with prospects and applicants at all stages of the admissions process
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Demonstrated experience in college admissions or related area within higher education
Valid driver's license
Valid passport
Ability to work evenings and weekends as well as travel independently worldwide
Demonstrated effective written communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel overnight and work evenings and weekends ??
Preferred:
Experience traveling internationally
Evidence of building collaborative relationships
Ability to speak a second language
Experience working with and serving diverse populations
