Description
The EAP On-Site Consultant at a key financial industry account provides assessment, referral, and short-term counseling on various EAP issues to employees and their household members. S/he conducts a comprehensive professional assessment, including assessing for safety, substance abuse, and domestic violence. In addition, the Consultant may provide Critical Incident Response (CIR) involving conducting group and 1:1 support sessions after a traumatic incident, such as the death of an employee or a workplace violence incidence.
The EAP Consultant understands and practices all EAP policies and procedures, and documents all case activity. S/he chooses appropriate resources, referrals and educational materials. The EAP Consultant demonstrates strong customer focus with all users of the service, and conducts appropriate follow up. Based on business needs, s/he may be asked to take on special projects as requested. Ability to manage management referrals and fitness for duty evaluations, including providing consultation and guidance to managers, as well as health center personnel, the patient advocacy and occupational health teams, human resources, security, and the employment law group will be required. In addition, the Consultant will also apprise the account's medical director of any cases involving suicidality, duty to warn, severe psychiatric or substance abuse impairment, or other concerns that may put the firm at risk. Lastly, the Consultant will conduct employee and manager trainings, and small group forums on resiliency and other EAP related topics.
Responsibilities
The EAP Consultant is responsible for EAP clinical program development and cultivates relationships with key stakeholders in regional offices in order to increase program visibility and utilization. The EAP Consultant develops and delivers training programs that address resilience and workplace behavioral issues based on utilization trends and input from business stakeholders. In addition, the EAP Consultant manages Wellness projects including the implementation of new policies, procedures, and workflows, and the integration of mental health into the organization's wellness and benefits strategy.
Principle Duties:
Provide in-person and telephonic clinical assessment, short term counseling and referral resources to employees and their household members.
Assess and implement treatment plans for emergent cases and provide after-hours emergency coverage based on on-call schedule.
Provide consultation to the account's Wellness vendors, including the health center, and patient advocacy and occupational health teams.
Provide management consultation to the account's divisions, including human resources and the employment law group.
Document all case activity in Humana's electronic clinical platform.
Train Humana back-up clinical staff on the account's culture and processes, and provide clinical case information to facilitate case transition prior to vacations and other scheduled time off.
Participate in monthly Humana clinical meetings.
Participate in the account's program and utilization review meetings, as well as, quarterly and biannual strategy meetings.
Participate in the review and analysis of the account's mental health data, and assist in the development and implementation of its mental health strategy.
Develop and deliver trainings on resiliency and other EAP related topics based on data trends and feedback from business stakeholders.
Conduct outreach to regional offices without on-site EAP presence in order to enhance program utilization.
Develop and maintain Wellness resource toolkits.
Participate in the account's Business Continuity Planning/Crisis planning and response.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master's level degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other applicable field
Applicable State licensure in field of study, licensed for independent clinical practice.
5 - 10 years or more of work experience in applicable field.
Experience developing and delivering trainings.
Must be able to manage competing priorities.
Experience providing management consultation.
Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office, to ensure you have absolute and continuous privacy while you work.
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
CEAP (Certified Employee Assistant Professional)
Experience providing Critical Incident Response (CIR).
Experience developing and delivering trainings.
Additional Information
Typical Days/Hours: Monday - Friday;7:00a.m - 4:30p.m MST with some flexibility with work hours.
Travel: Limited Travel (There will be no travel at this time due to business travel restrictions).
Work Location: Office based position in Salt Lake City, UT but temporarily remote . Interview Format
As part of our hiring process, we will be using an exciting interviewing technology provided by Montage/Modern Hire, a third-party vendor. This technology provides our team of recruiters and hiring managers an enhanced method for decision-making.
If you are selected to move forward from your application prescreen, you will receive correspondence inviting you to participate in a pre-recorded Voice Interview and/or an SMS Text Messaging interview. If participating in a pre-recorded interview, you will respond to a set of interview questions via your phone. You should anticipate this interview to take approximately 10-15 minutes.
If participating in a SMS Text interview, you will be asked a series of questions to which you will be using your cell phone to answer the questions provided. Expect this type of interview to last anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Your recorded interview(s) via text and/or pre-recorded voice will be reviewed and you will subsequently be informed if you will be moving forward to next round of interviews.
