The Health Educator/Fitness Class Instructor 2 instructs or coach's groups or individuals in exercise activities. The Health Educator/Fitness Class Instructor 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Responsibilities
The Health Educator/Fitness Class Instructor 2 demonstrate techniques and form, observe participants, and explain to them corrective measures necessary to improve their skills.
Facilitate and lead health education classes.
Facilitate and lead member recreational activities such as bingo, dominos, painting, etc.
Collaborate with programming team to develop new ideas to bring to the center.
Assist Center Manager and Activities Coordinator with greeting and directing visitors.
1 on 1 training
Setup calendar
Work with the coordinator/front desk
Help with front desk
Work with around 40 members
Other special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
2 years' experience effective delivery of Healthcare Education and/or Wellness programs. Experience teaching wellness or exercise classes (preferably with seniors)
Previous experience in teaching, training, mentoring and/or facilitating
Collaborate with various levels of the organization internally and in the community
Exceptional interpersonal, public speaking and presentations skills
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail and exceptional follow up skill
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors in Health, Health Education, Nursing, Social Work, Education,
CHES certification, or the ability to obtain certification, based upon relevant education
Fully Bilingual English/Spanish. Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages without limitations or assistance. If selected for the position, you will be required to take a Language Proficiency Assessment in English/Spanish. See Additional Information on testing
Additional Information
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Work Style: Traditional: Associates use dedicated, individual workspace (such as an office, desk or cubicle) in a Humana facility. ** In a year or two if business open another center in the area, associates will work from a non-Humana locations (such as provider facilities, employer facilities and home health locations) - Field work style
Training: 2 weeks, in person at the Community Center or virtual based on COVID restrictions at date of hire.
Work Location (Address): This permanent job is working from Home temporary due to Covid 19 emergency. This position will deploy to the following location at a future date: 313 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33880

Language Proficiency Testing (English/Spanish): Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than Spanish and/or English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
