School for Inspiring Talents (SfIT) is keen to appoint a passionate and empathic Senior Family Support Worker to work with our families and students. 
School for Inspiring Talents offers independent therapeutic day school provision to students aged 5-16 who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) or suffered from trauma. 
The Senior Family Support Worker will work closely with the Head of Multi-Disciplinary Team, alongside other members the Multi-Disciplinary Team, teaching staff, Designated Safeguarding Leads, parents/carers and outside agencies to ensure that the needs of our students are met.  It is envisaged that they will champion a trauma informed approach which aligns closely to the values of our setting.  The role will involve elements of training and coaching for both our school community and for our parents and carers.  It will also include safeguarding responsibilities, so good knowledge in this area is crucial.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share our commitment. This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Please note that this post is 37 hours per week term time only, working Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm although flexible working will be considered for the right candidate.
This is a permanent role and the salary is £24,360 for 39 weeks a year. Please note that this is the actual salary and not pro rata and will be paid in 12 monthly installments.
